especially before conception and during early pregnancy.
What Is Folic Acid?

Neural tube defects occur when the neural tube fails to close properly
thus making the brain or spinal cord exposed to amniotic fluid. Defects

encephalocele (protruding brain tissue in the skin of an abnormal
opening in the skull).
